“Today, the tests confirmed that the hospital-acquired pneumonia which can be fatal was dissolved.”

She always had strong lungs despite the asthma.

Our attitude:

We find joy in small successes; we find joy in big breakthroughs. We find joy in every small detail that speaks of how Melit is fighting to survive this condition.

Our Observation:

Comatose patients still have the capacity to heal themselves.  Just because they are not awake does not mean they have lost the will to live.

Our Action:

Celebrate! We went out and had dinner outside courtesy of Maymay.

Our Doctors said

Dr. Casino still extended the Vancomysin up to ten days, the rest of the antibiotics were discontinued giving us a also a resting period in terms of expenses.

God’s Blessings:

An old aunt, Ante Medie Maranguiz came to visit Melit. She stayed the whole morning and taught us a simple modification on the Divine Mercy prayer which we pray over Melit every three o’clock.

“Holy God, Holy Mighty One, Holy Immortal One

Have mercy on Carmelita and the whole world.” Amen.
