Day 2 of Melit’s Preparation for Going Home
Dr. Yacapin ordered to begin the bladder training. Her catheter is tied for four hours and will be released for five minutes in between. This will help Melit develop the urge to pee on her own. The first day, her diaper was dry, she was still dependent on the catheter.
Dr. Casino ordered to progressive breathing test, 5 hours, then six hours, then seven hours of T-piece with thirty minutes mechanical ventilator in between.
Dr. Barba ordered a thorough assessment of her skin, especially the pressure points for any signs of bedsore. The physical therapy and the range of motion continued.
